This weekend we are set to see Daniel Jacobs face Luis Arias at the Nassau Coliseum in a big middleweight bout. Stay tuned for a post on the Jacobs vs Arias bout. On the undercard, we have some decent fights including Conor Benn’s debut stateside and a heavyweight clash between Mariusz Wach vs Jarrell Miller.
With no losses in his 20 fights so far as a professional, Jarrell ‘Big Baby’ Miller is coming into this fight off of the back of a big win over Gerald Washington. Mariusz Wach has lost two fights in his career both being to world champion or top class opponents in Wladimir Klitschko and Alexander Povetkin. Wach has a had 35 fights in total and has won 17 of his 33 wins by way of knockout.
Wach comes into this bout with the upper hand on Miller in terms of experience and also is 3 and a half inches taller than his opponent. The winner of this fight may end up fighting someone who is a higher class but I doubt they will be fighting Deontay Wilder or AJ anytime soon. I think that the Pole, Wach, will win this bout due to his superior experience, height, reach, and he has had the experience of fighting on the big stage against the best of the best in Wladimir Klitschko and even though he lost he would’ve learnt from it and I think he will have his handed lifted in victory over Miller this weekend.
Stay tuned for other posts previewing other undercard bouts and a preview of the main event in Daniel Jacobs vs Luis Arias. Posts on the profiles of the main event fighters, Jacobs and Arias, will also be coming as the week progresses in the build up the clash on Saturday. STAY TUNED!
